The Half Dragons

Pulled together as champions by the gods of their world, their purpose was to stop the rise of a false-god… an evil that would destroy the world as they knew it.
Through their quest, they managed to work with one another – despite differences that would have destroyed a group with less at stake.  In the end, they were only somewhat successful…
The false god was defeated, but the gods of their world were destroyed.  New gods rose to power, but the half-dragons, all missing the things their hearts held most dear, mourned the loss of the gods they had served and loved.
This is why when the messenger arrived at their annual reunion and offered them a place where their gods still lived, they leapt at the chance to be reunited with the powers they had, for a time, carried within themselves.
But now, that being that would have been the ruler of their world – the false god that failed in his quest for power – has come to the world where they reside… challenging them… taunting them… drawing them closer to his island fortress, where his plans are simple.
Finish these pests once and for all.

The Quest of the Halfway House

The owner of the Halfway House – the finest inn between then midlands and the City of Temples – is seldom seen; most of the inn’s business handled by his human barmaid.  His daughter, on the other hand – a roguish priestess of Boccob – is well-known and often seen lurking around her father’s common room… or else preparing to take off on some excursion or other into the thick woods and mountains to the east of the Crossroads.  On this particular occasion, she has managed to gain the assistance of some customers of her father’s to aid her in her quest… A quest which, for a change, is actually sanctioned by her superiors.  To retrieve the relics stolen from the temple… the only catch?  They were taken into the mountains; deep into the caves that run through the countryside… into the underdark…
